Well, we do Town Planning (aka DA or Development Application) “stuff”!

WE DO “STUFF” LIKE …

 

Reviewing properties (ideally prior to purchase), to ensure that the planned work can be done … either with or without a DA.

Reviewing concepts / plans etc, to determine whether there are any DA triggers … and if so, what can be done to avoid or reduce the type of DA required.

Certification letters. I.e. formal letters from us (as qualified planners) confirming that a DA isn’t required for the proposed works.

Lodging exemption certificate requests with Council. To avoid triggering a DA for pesky minor things like new stairs on small lots.

 
 

Prelodgement meetings with Council, to seek feedback on a concept before you commit.

“Written requests for information” to Council, seeking info or a formal response on a matter.

Standard BW, MCU and ROL applications. Aka DA’s, development applications, planning applications etc.

Modification applications (aka section 81’s, section 82’s, change applications).

 
 
 

 

“Our jam” (where we really shine) … is working with building design pros (like building designers) and their clients, on “housey” projects in Brisbane. Aka … with people who resonate with our non-standard approach … on everything from small extensions like carports on “small lots”, to major overhaul renos or new builds in traditional building character areas.

 who we work with

 We don’t typically take on work outside of Brisbane, new developer clients, bigger jobs like high-rise towers etc, or submission/objection work.

Focusing on a specific niche (aka residential “stuff” in Brissy), allows us to “master our trade” so to speak. Without wanting to sound arrogant, you will struggle to find someone who knows the nitty gritty details, quirks and loopholes of the rules in this space better than we do!

“Niching” also allows us to use automation behind the scenes, to help us become super-duper efficient at the stuff you don’t see. Which then allows us to spend more time on what we value most … the warm fuzzies (aka good customer service).
